Updated SATURDAY Training Schedule for Middle & Long Distance (MLD) Athletes
We have adjusted the starting time of the Saturday training session for our mid & long-distance (MLD) athletes. The session will start at 8:00 AM instead of 8:30 AM. This adjustment has been made for two primary reasons:
Longer training duration: MLD athletes require additional time for their training compared to other athletes. Starting at 8:00 AM allows them to complete their workouts without feeling rushed or compromising the quality of their training.
Avoiding hot weather: By starting at 8:00 AM, we aim to provide MLD athletes with more comfortable temperatures and minimize their exposure to hot weather conditions, given the longer distances they cover during the training sessions.
Updated Booking and Late Arrival Policy
Over the past weeks, we have noticed an increase in disruptions during our training sessions caused by late bookings, non-bookers, and individuals arriving significantly late. These disruptions not only affect the flow of the training and impact the experience of other members but pose an increased risk of injury for latecomers who miss out on proper warm-up.
To ensure a more organised and efficient training environment for everyone, we have decided to make a few changes, effective on 1st August:
Reduced Booking Window: The booking window will now be 12 hours before the class start time, allowing better planning for each session. For example, the class starts at 8 AM on Saturday, the last booking is at 8 PM on Friday.
Mandatory Booking Policy: All members must make a booking to participate in training sessions. Failure to book will result in the inability to join the session. Walk-ins or on-the-spot bookings will not be permitted.
Minimum Athlete Requirement: A class will be cancelled if the minimum number of four athletes is not met. In the event of a class cancellation, affected athletes will be notified in advance.
Late Arrival Policy: Members are required to arrive on time. Entry will not be permitted for arrivals beyond the first 10 minutes after the scheduled start time. We would like to emphasize that even latecomers within the 10-minute grace period will not be allowed to join the training if they are frequent latecomers.
Under our late arrival policy, particularly Kids Athletics A and newcomers, are expected to arrive on time for their training sessions. It is especially important for them as they learn and participate in warm-up moves alongside the group. Arriving late significantly hinders their progress and disrupts the warm-up routines for other students. Therefore, we kindly request that parents ensure their children arrive on time to avoid missing out on these important warm-up activities.
We value your commitment to maintaining a positive training environment within our club and appreciate your cooperation in adhering to the revised guidelines. If you have any questions or require further clarification please refer to our FAQ, and please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
